Lantern Recovery provides diesel for ambulance service

One of NLIG’s clients, Lantern Recovery Specialists PLC, has made a very kind gesture to the East of England Ambulance Service, providing access to their private diesel pump.

With the fuel shortage continuing to affect parts of South East England and diesel supplies particularly affected, Lantern Recovery’s offer enabled ambulances to access private diesel supplies at the normal rate.

The private pump is located at Lantern Recovery’s depot at South Mimms Services and ensures that East of England Ambulances can quickly refuel without queueing for hours.

Lantern Recovery Specialists is the UK’s largest, privately-owned, independent nationwide breakdown and recovery specialist. Established in 1966 by the Coleman family and now in its third generation, the company has provided commercial and PSV breakdown assistance, including recovery, transportation and servicing, for over 55 years. The company is particularly proud of its fast-growing fleet, which now numbers over 150 vehicles.

It is particularly heart-warming to see gestures being made such as this by companies in a position to do so, providing much-needed help and support to our NHS, which continues to struggle with unprecedented demand for its services. This gesture will hopefully enable emergency services to continue to provide their invaluable support to the general public without having to worry about refuelling or wasting precious time queuing.

A big thank you from NLIG to Lantern Recovery for making this gesture to ambulances struggling to refuel, helping to ease a potentially difficult situation.
