Looking forward to 2024!

2024 is looking good for NLIG. The business is in great shape, our client list is expanding and we’re looking forward to an exciting year of growth and development with lots planned.

Here at NLIG, we’ve always focused on the health and well-being of our employees, and regard this as an essential component of our business plan. After all, happy, healthy employees stay with the company, provide a better all-round customer experience in terms of service and continuity and make a big contribution to our productivity and success.
 
Having celebrated our 50th anniversary back in 2021, we’ve been around for quite a while and can honestly say we have some employees who have been with us for over 20 years! and some of the best employees!
 
With employee wellbeing very much top of our list, we have some exciting new initiatives planned for 2024. As part of our commitment to supporting and assisting members of staff at the times they need it most, we have appointed two certified Mental Health First Aiders, who are always on hand when required.
 
To further support our employees in their daily lives, we’re also providing an Employee Assistance Programme that offers fully confidential telephone counselling via an interactive health and wellbeing management portal. Providing support with home life, financial matters and mental health issues, this service has been proven to boost productivity and morale, and reduce staff sickness and turnover.
 
In addition, new for 2024, each of our permanent employees will be offered an additional paid day for their birthday, if it falls on a weekday, excluding Bank Holidays, and we’ll carry on with our Tuck in Thursday initiative, which began last November, providing free food on the last Thursday of the month, ranging from fruit and breakfast rolls to cakes, pastries and so on. To help promote physical fitness, we’ll also be promoting a Cycle to Work scheme, helping to get more people cycling to and from work, while benefiting from low cost bikes and equipment
 
Fully committed to the wellbeing of our staff, we’re starting the New Year on a high, with a full programme of employee support, ensuring our customers benefit from happy, motivated employees, keen to deliver the highest levels of service, and go over and above when it comes to customer satisfaction.
