At NLIG, we’re excited to share updates to our Non-Standard Car Insurance offering — making it simpler than ever to find cover for those more difficult-to-insure or specialist risks.
We recognise that not every driver or vehicle fits the standard mould. Whether it’s high or mid net worth clients, car enthusiasts, or drivers with previous claims or convictions, our expanded product offers flexible, personalised solutions that traditional markets often decline.
Our underwriters now adopt a more relaxed yet data-driven approach, allowing for quicker decisions and broader acceptance criteria. Here are some of the key enhancements:
Increased Tracker Threshold: The standard tracker requirement now applies to vehicles valued above £60,000 (previously £50,000).
New Models Now Covered: All Tesla models and Porsche Taycans are now within our scope. JLR Accepted: Models from 2019 onwards are accepted with no additional security or parking requirements.
Vehicle Modifications: Up to ten modifications per vehicle are now accepted
Expanded Occupations: Cover is now available for sports and entertainment professionals, including sound technicians, performers, and crew.
